LUC Dinnerware

“I first discovered the iconic works of the French ceramicist Jean Luce in Paris many years ago, and I have been an avid collector of his dishes to this day.  Since there are no actual dinner services available, I have stacked the dishes in my cupboards as I find them.  It is the thin profile that makes them perfect in my eyes.  I have designed several different pieces that compliment Luce’s original art work to make a simple, useable dinner service of the finest bone china.  It’s been years of experimenting with many different forms of ceramics to be able to capture the beauty of the refined thinness of that delicate profile.

While practicing my novice skill at photography for a book of iPhone pictures I am working on, I have placed the dishes all over the house and taken fun photos.  It’s a game that has revealed how well the plates work in rustic, refined and contemporary settings.  I am excited to share this collection with you.” – Rose
